About Salvatore Agrusa

Sal, a lifelong resident of Metro Detroit, is a graduate of Cass Technical High School. Raised in a household that emphasized a strong work ethic, he developed an entrepreneurial spirit early on.

In 1993, after exploring various creative ventures and gaining valuable insights from seasoned mentors, Sal launched his own landscaping business. By 2000, he had established one of the most successful landscaping companies in Macomb County, all while being a dedicated father of three and striving to provide for his family.

However, the real estate downturn in 2006 posed significant challenges for many of Sal's landscaping clients, who found themselves unable to maintain their properties. Witnessing the hardships faced by these long-standing customers, Sal gained a profound understanding of the struggles homeowners were enduring during this economic crisis.

Rather than succumb to the pressures affecting his business, Sal felt compelled to assist those in need. He immersed himself in research about the housing crisis and the factors contributing to the rising foreclosure rates, which ultimately led him to pursue a career in real estate.

In 2008, Sal made the pivotal decision to transition from landscaping to real estate, despite widespread skepticism regarding the viability of the market. He quickly became adept at negotiating with banks on behalf of distressed homeowners, successfully guiding hundreds through short sales to protect their credit and avoid foreclosure. His resilience and expertise in marketing and negotiation propelled him to become one of the top new agents at Keller Williams Realty.

As the real estate market began to recover in 2011, Sal recognized the importance of ongoing education. He pursued and earned nationally accredited designations, including Seller Representative Specialist and Accredited Buyer Representative, which significantly enhanced his negotiation skills for both sellers and buyers.

In 2014, Sal completed the rigorous training required to obtain his Broker's License, becoming a licensed Associate Broker with Keller Williams Great Lakes. His leadership in the industry led to an invitation to join the Agent Leadership Council (ALC), where he has been an active member since 2011, mentoring new agents, conducting classes, and contributing to office decisions.

That same year, Sal achieved the distinction of being the top-selling agent in his office, earning the prestigious Top Agent Award. He is on track to maintain this status in 2015.

To focus on what he enjoys most—client interactions, negotiations, and mentoring—Sal has expanded his team by hiring full-time administrative support. In 2015, he also became a member of the Society of Certified Senior Advisors, enabling him to better serve the real estate needs of seniors.
