Born in Michigan and raised in Minnesota I am a midwesterner through and through I graduated from Mayo High School in Rochester Minnesota and attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor Michigan At Michigan I was on the gymnastics team and the all male football cheerleading squad where I participated in an Orange Bowl and two Rose Bowls I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree

I have also been a competitive water skier since the age of ten In 2006 I was fortunate enough to be a member of the Gold Medal USA World Water Ski Team Personally I placed second overall in the World Championships in South Africa that year
