Originally from Lafayette, Indiana, she hails from a family with a long-standing legacy in real estate, with the Shook family establishing their firm in 1917. After earning her degree from Butler University in Indianapolis, she held sales roles with Sonesta International Resorts and the Sutton Place Hotel in Chicago’s Gold Coast. Prior to her move to the suburbs, she co-founded a women’s clothing boutique, Emli, which further honed her entrepreneurial skills.

Her diverse professional background has equipped her well for her role as a real estate broker. She actively contributes to the community by serving on the boards of the Winnetka Public School Nursery and the Winnetka Alliance for Early Childhood, as well as the Northwestern University Settlement House, which provides enriching summer camp experiences for at-risk inner-city youth. Additionally, she is involved in various volunteer and fundraising initiatives at Sacred Heart School in Winnetka.

Together with her husband, Steve, she is raising three daughters in Winnetka, where they enjoy easy access to the community’s amenities. In her free time, she enjoys running, design, and treasured moments with friends, as well as family time at their cottage in northern Michigan.
