About Sarah Maxwell

Sarah Maxwell has been a dedicated member of @properties since May 2009, bringing a wealth of experience from her background in real estate property management to her current role in real estate sales. Her career began in advertising, where she produced television and radio spots for prominent agencies in Chicago while simultaneously managing properties in Lincoln Park. After purchasing her first home, Sarah's longstanding passion for real estate prompted her to transition from advertising to a full-time career in real estate sales, which she has pursued since 2007.

A lifelong Chicagoan, Sarah grew up in Lincoln Park before her family moved to the Graceland West neighborhood. This deep-rooted familiarity with the city’s north and west side neighborhoods equips her with extensive knowledge about local schools, public transportation, and the vibrant dining scene.

Sarah is an alumna of Bell School and St. Ignatius College Prep, having also attended Lincoln Park Co-op and The Latin School for a year. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where she remains a devoted fan, often returning for a Zingerman’s sandwich and a football game. Currently, Sarah resides in Logan Square, where she and her designer husband purchased a gut-rehabbed home in 2012. Her enthusiasm for renovations drives her to acquire and rehabilitate properties in Logan Square, West Bucktown, and Humboldt Park, enhancing her expertise in the structural aspects of real estate. This knowledge allows her to guide clients effectively through the complexities of buying and selling homes.

In 2012, Sarah founded the Sarah Maxwell Group, a division of @properties designed to bolster support for her clients and mentor fellow agents. The group has expanded to three members as of December 2013, ensuring that clients receive timely assistance and property showings.

Outside of her professional commitments, Sarah enjoys spending time with her husband and their spirited dog, Ramona, at a nearby park. She is passionate about travel, with upcoming trips planned to Scotland and Iceland, and enjoys home improvement projects, winter skiing trips, and summer vacations in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Additionally, Sarah is actively involved in her community as a long-time foster parent for dogs at the Anti-Cruelty Society and serves as president of a 32-team non-profit softball league. She also participates in a competitive kickball league each fall in Union Park.

Sarah specializes in various neighborhoods across Chicago, including Bucktown, Wicker Park, Ukrainian Village, East Village, Humboldt Park, Albany Park, Lincoln Square, Avondale, Streeterville, River North, West Loop, Roscoe Village, and the entire north side from Old Town to Rogers Park. The most rewarding aspect of her career is assisting clients in finding homes they love. Her business thrives on referrals from satisfied clients who appreciate her commitment to making the buying and selling process enjoyable and seamless.

For inquiries, Sarah can be reached via the contact form on her website or by phone at 773-991-2943.

Cook County, Illinois represents one of the most dynamic and complex real estate markets in the Midwest, anchored by Chicago's towering skyline and extending through diverse suburban communities that each tell their own economic story. With 33,218 actively licensed real estate agents operating throughout the county, this market demonstrates both the incredible opportunity and intense competition that defines second-city real estate dynamics.

What makes Cook County particularly fascinating is how dramatically property values and market conditions can shift within just a few miles. From the luxury high-rises of downtown Chicago's Gold Coast to the emerging neighborhoods of Pilsen and Logan Square, agents navigate everything from million-dollar penthouses to first-time homebuyer opportunities in communities like Des Plaines and Schaumburg. The sheer density of professional representation—with all 33,218 agents maintaining current email contact information—reflects a market where digital communication and rapid response times often determine success.

Major Cook County, Illinois Real Estate Markets

Chicago's downtown core and near-north neighborhoods like Lincoln Park and Lakeview continue to drive luxury sales, while suburban markets in Arlington Heights, Palatine, and Evanston attract families seeking top-rated schools and larger properties. The western suburbs, including Oak Park and Forest Park, have experienced surprising growth as buyers seek historic charm with convenient city access, often finding better value than comparable properties closer to the lakefront.

Meanwhile, emerging areas like Bridgeport and McKinley Park are seeing increased investor activity and young professional migration, creating micro-markets where agents specializing in renovation properties and new construction developments can build substantial businesses. The county's proximity to O'Hare Airport has also strengthened markets in Rosemont and Park Ridge, where corporate relocations drive consistent demand.

Market Dynamics and Geographic Complexity

Cook County's real estate landscape operates on multiple economic levels simultaneously, with luxury lakefront properties appreciating at different rates than suburban family homes or urban investment properties. Seasonal patterns here are more pronounced than in many markets, with winter months creating opportunities for serious buyers while spring and summer bring competitive bidding situations, particularly in desirable school districts like those found in Wilmette and Winnetka.

The market's complexity extends to financing and development regulations that vary significantly between Chicago proper and suburban municipalities. Agents must navigate everything from historic district restrictions in Oak Park to new construction incentives in developing areas, making local expertise invaluable for both buyers and sellers trying to understand their options across different communities.

Why Businesses Need Cook County, Illinois Agent Contact Data

Mortgage lenders, title companies, and real estate service providers require direct access to Cook County's extensive agent network because referral relationships and local partnerships drive business volume in this competitive market. With 33,218 agents actively working deals, companies that can efficiently reach the right professionals with relevant services—from staging companies to inspection services—gain significant advantages in building market share.

Insurance providers, financial advisors, and home improvement contractors particularly benefit from targeted outreach to agents specializing in specific property types or geographic areas within the county. The ability to communicate directly via email with agents handling luxury properties differs vastly from those focusing on first-time buyers, making precise contact data essential for effective business development and partnership building.
