Scott was born and raised in the Fargo-Moorhead area and like many grew up coming to the lakes every weekend He spent summers fishing skiing and tubing rain or shine on Leaf Lake in the Cormorant area and knows lakes country like the back of his hand

He went to college at MSUM for Business Administration and began his career in hospitality management which then lead him into sales He relocated to Detroit Lakes and continued his career before taking an opportunity to help build and grow a new business as a branch manager in Tucson Arizona

His wife's roots in Detroit Lakes brought Scott and his family back to the area where he now pursues a career in Real Estate He is heavily involved in the Detroit Lakes Chamber and United Way organization
