About Scott Newman

Scott is a 2005 graduate of DePaul University in Chicago, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in English. Prior to embarking on his real estate career, he gained valuable experience in the private client division at Merrill Lynch in downtown Chicago. Working alongside one of the nation’s leading brokers, Scott acquired essential skills that would later inform his transition from finance to real estate.

He began his real estate journey at Coldwell Banker, where he received mentorship from one of the foremost foreclosure specialists in the country. This experience allowed him to master various facets of the foreclosure market while simultaneously cultivating his own client base.

In 2008, Scott took a significant step by co-founding Newman Realty with his sister, Michelle. Officially launched in 2009 from a retail location in Bucktown, the brokerage concentrated on the downtown Chicago market. Under Scott's leadership, the Newman Realty Group quickly established itself as a consistent Top 20 Producer among over 20,000 agents in Cook County.

In late 2021, Scott and Michelle elevated their business by partnering with Keller Williams One Chicago, further solidifying their status as leaders within one of the fastest-growing brokerages in the Chicagoland area.
