Initially aspiring to become a music educator, she played the trumpet and actively participated in the music program at the University of Iowa. After earning her degree, Sharon took on the role of band director at a school in Deerfield, Illinois, where she dedicated six years to nurturing young musicians.

Despite her passion for music, Sharon felt a compelling shift toward sales. Her natural charisma and exceptional interpersonal skills led her to excel as one of the top sales representatives for a promotional fundraising company focused on schools, a position she held for a decade. In 1994, she made a significant career transition into real estate, motivated by her desire to assist individuals in realizing their homeownership dreams.
