Nawny Jones, a native of Elko County, Nevada, has deep roots in the region, having attended a small rural school throughout her elementary years. The expansive landscapes and the authentic community of her childhood continue to hold a special place in her heart. Her weekends and summers were often spent on her family’s ranch at the foot of the stunning Ruby Mountains near Lamoille, NV.

After completing high school, Nawny dedicated several seasons to the Bureau of Land Management, where she served on the Heli-tac crew, combating wildland fires. This experience remains a cherished chapter in her life. She later earned an associate degree from Great Basin College and became a licensed phlebotomist. In this role, she found joy in connecting with patients at her medical office until the arrival of her first child.

Nawny, along with her husband and two children, actively participates in team roping and rodeo events, a pursuit that keeps their family engaged and fulfilled. Both Nawny and her husband have achieved the honor of qualifying for the World Series of Team Roping Finals in Las Vegas, a goal they strive for each year. Their travels across the United States ignited her passion for real estate, as she became fascinated by diverse properties and lifestyles.

The family spent five years in Texas, enjoying warmer climates and more opportunities for roping, before returning to their roots in 2015 to manage the family cattle ranch and homeschool their children. This lifestyle instills in their kids the values of hard work and perseverance, teaching them that success is earned, not given. Their ranch is home to 11 horses, four dogs—including a border collie, rat terrier, and chihuahua—and a beloved house cat.

With her upbringing in rural Elko County, Nawny possesses a profound understanding of the land, as well as the qualities of hard work, loyalty, and community. She feels fortunate to serve as a realtor in Nevada, where she is surrounded by family, friends, and a supportive community.
