About Sheldon Rosengarten

With over three decades of experience in the real estate sector, this broker is affiliated with Marx-Bensdorf Realtors, the oldest real estate firm in Memphis, established in 1868. This full-service agency operates seven days a week, ensuring comprehensive support for its clients.

Specializing in residential property marketing and buyer representation, he previously managed Century 21 Alliance Realty from its inception in 1981 until July 1993. Under his leadership, the agency became the top Century 21 office in Memphis and West Tennessee for nine consecutive years, recognized for its outstanding commission production and affiliated with the National Mortgage Company, the second-largest privately owned mortgage banking entity in the nation.

He has been married to Shelli for over 30 years and they have one daughter, Anna. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Maryland in 2004, Anna was honored as the Outstanding Sophomore Leader of the Year. She resides in Gaithersburg, MD, with her husband, David Freiman, a CPA in Washington, D.C. Anna currently serves as the Executive Team Leader for Human Resources at Target Corporation in Rockville, MD. The family also includes a beloved mixed-breed cat. Notably, he previously owned a 1961 Peter Pirsch Pumper fire engine, which was used for charitable events and parades before being donated to the Memphis Fire Museum.

Since 1985, he has been a life member of the Multi-Million Dollar Club of the Memphis Area Association of Realtors (MAAR). His contributions to MAAR include serving on various committees, such as Vice-Chairman of Grievance Transactions, Chairman of Sales Management, and Director-Sponsor of "Home for Sale" magazine. He held the position of First Vice-President for two years within the 2,700-member association and is currently involved with the Professional Standards Advisory Task Force, addressing inquiries and concerns from real estate agents and the public. In 2009, he received the "Online Marketing Award of Excellence" from Realtor.com, the largest real estate database globally and the official site of the National Association of Realtors.

He attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and graduated with a B.A. in Political Science from Memphis State University, where he also completed extensive real estate coursework at the Fogelman College of Business and Economics. He established the Jerome Rosengarten Memorial Scholarship at the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law and has actively participated in various committees in Germantown, TN, contributing to the city's charter revision between 1981 and 1985.
