In 1999, Shonnie embarked on her journey into homeownership by purchasing a condominium in North Orange County. While she cherished the experience of transforming her first home into a reflection of her personal style and comfort, her interaction with her real estate agent left much to be desired. Despite the successful completion of the transaction, Shonnie felt a lingering sense of disappointment.

Shortly thereafter, she met and married Clinton, and together they sought to find a home to begin their life as a married couple.
