About Stefan Karnopp

I was fortunate to be born here in the Mount Washington Valley! My grand parents Carroll and Kay Reed were busy building many business adventures here the most notable being the Carroll Reed Ski Shops I continued the tradition of working in Ski shops along with coaching the Mt Cranmore Alpine Race Team when I was younger enjoying the lifestyle and skiing as much as possible I also worked worked in another family business The Conway Scenic Rail Road As a partial owner and Board Member it was a very rewarding career until we sold in 1999 I am fortunate to have so much family history in town but also spent much of my childhood in California as my father took a teaching position as a professor in Mechanical Engineering at the University of California Davis As nice as it was in CA once I was done with school I packed up and returned here to the Valley!
In 1996 my wife and I married and bought a home in Kearsarge (North Conway) in a great spot on Kearsarge brook We are enjoying our son Reed who is now 11 and attending John Fuller Elementary School Like his dad he loves to ski and is always hoping for the nest big snow storm!
I stay busy working full time as a Real Estate Agent but always leave time for family and friends Staying connected to the community is also important I enjoy volunteering and working on boards to help keep the small town feel a reality I am active in the Easter Slope Ski Club Mount Washington Valley old car club Pequwaket Foundation and on the Zoning Board of Adjustments for Kearsarge
