Originally from Vancouver, British Columbia, Stephen’s entrepreneurial spirit was evident from a young age, as he engaged in various ventures, including a paper route and selling floral arrangements from his father's church. His passion for real estate ignited at the age of 11, but he initially explored the hospitality sector, gaining invaluable insights into exceptional customer service while working at the Four Seasons Hotel.

Stephen began his real estate career in Honolulu with Dolman Associates after obtaining his license in 1984. His adeptness in building relationships and resourcefulness opened doors that paved the way for his future success in San Diego. There, he collaborated with developers to market new home projects and eventually established his own agency, Clark Tess Properties, which he later sold to Coldwell Banker in 2003.

After a decade-long non-compete agreement, Stephen joined Sotheby’s in San Diego in 2013, where he served clients for seven years before relocating to Palm Desert in the summer of 2020. This move fulfilled a long-held dream, inspired by an early visit to the area. He has since assisted numerous Canadian clients in finding their ideal California homes.
