Additionally, he founded "Sterling Knife Sharpening," a business known for its high-quality service, which he continues to operate.

In 2017, Sterling was invited to the NHL's Officiating Combine and has officiated at various levels of ice hockey, including junior, collegiate, and professional leagues. The skills he developed through his experiences in sports and entrepreneurship—such as problem-solving, collaboration, sound decision-making, and patience—have seamlessly translated into his real estate practice.
