About Steve Silberer

Steve Silberer serves as a Broker at CENTURY 21 Purdum-Epperson Inc. A Macomb native, he has been immersed in the real estate sector since spring 1997. His commitment to the industry is evident through his twelve-year tenure on the Lamoine Valley Board of Realtors, where he also held the position of President.

Before embarking on his real estate career, Steve worked as an electrician in Macomb from 1982 to 1992, focusing on both residential and commercial electrical contracting. This experience provided him with a solid foundation in various aspects of construction. From 1992 to 1997, he ventured into the restaurant business by acquiring and revitalizing The Macomb Dining Co. Under his leadership, the restaurant flourished, leading to an expansion in 1994 that included a 300-seat banquet hall, followed by the opening of a sports bar in 1995.

In 1996, Steve married Amanda, who has made significant academic strides, earning her clinical doctorate in Audiology and a PhD from the University of Iowa in 2013. She currently serves as a Professor at Western Illinois University.

Steve obtained his Real Estate License in 1997 and achieved his Broker's License in 2000. As a multimillion-dollar producer, he holds the GRI designation and has received numerous accolades from the Illinois Association of Realtors, including CENTURY 21 Master Awards and Centurion Producer status in multiple years (2006, 2011–2015, 2017–2020). Notably, he was honored as the Centurion Honor Society Double Centurion Producer in 2021 and recognized as a Quality Service Producer in 2015. His contributions to the industry were acknowledged in 2004 when he received the Realtor of the Year award from the Lamoine Valley Board of Realtors, and he consistently ranked among the Top Producers for CENTURY 21 St. Louis Regional Broker Council from 2012 to 2021.

Steve and Amanda are active members of the Crossing Church of Macomb, the Macomb Country Club, the MDH Golden Apple Society, and the McDonough YMCA. In his leisure time, Steve enjoys fitness activities, golfing, cooking, traveling, and hosting gatherings for family and friends.
