About Steven Walt

Steve, originally from Ohio, has called Florida home since the mid-1970s. During his high school years, he demonstrated leadership by serving as President of the Student Council. He pursued higher education at Otterbein College, where he majored in education and played football on a scholarship.

Upon relocating to Florida, Steve began his career in real estate, initially focusing on selling business franchises. He quickly advanced to the role of Broker/Vice President at a prominent multi-office firm in Jacksonville. As a dedicated REALTOR®, he has chaired various committees within local associations and has been a steadfast supporter of the REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC). Steve holds the esteemed Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager (CRB) designation from the Real Estate Business Institute, affiliated with the National Association of Realtors.

In the early stages of his career, Steve expanded his qualifications by obtaining licenses as an auctioneer, mortgage broker, and Florida real estate instructor, all of which he continues to maintain. As a leading instructor, he has played a pivotal role in shaping the careers of thousands of real estate professionals and remains actively involved in training and development at Great Expectations Realty. Over the years, he has also served as a consultant and trainer for major real estate franchises, developers, and lenders.

Steve shares his life with his wife, Beth, who is known for her intelligence and insight. They reside in St. Augustine and are proud parents to four adult children and grandparents to a growing number of grandchildren. The couple enjoys traveling and attending music and theater events together. Additionally, they participate in numerous charity auctions each year. Steve is also a dedicated member of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) and the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War (SUVCW).
