**Personal Background**

Sylvia's roots in Sonoma County run deep, tracing back to her grandparents' immigration from Sweden in the early 1900s. She spent much of her childhood on her family’s chicken ranch in Petaluma, located on Lundberg Avenue, a street named in their honor. A graduate of Piner High School, Santa Rosa Junior College, and Sonoma State University, Sylvia has cultivated a rich understanding of the area she serves.

Outside of her professional life, Sylvia enjoys spending time with her two adult children, Brittany and Brandon. She is an avid hiker at Jack London State Park and loves walking along the Sonoma Coast. Additionally, she enjoys experimenting with new recipes using the region's exceptional local ingredients.
