About Teresa Johnson

A lifelong resident of New Braunfels, this fifth-generation Comal County native has deep roots in the community, being the great-granddaughter of the city's founding families.

She is a proud graduate of New Braunfels High School and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin. Married to Rob Johnson, she is the mother of four accomplished children: Katie, who is pursuing studies at the University of Alabama and South Texas College of Law; Haley, a Texas State University student; Jake, a Texas A&M graduate and Captain in the United States Marine Corps Reserves, also attending South Texas College of Law; and Ross, another Texas A&M graduate. The family also enjoys the company of a cherished granddaughter.

Professionally, she is actively involved in local governance and community initiatives, serving as a member of the City of New Braunfels Historic Landmark Commission and the Comal County Historic Commission. She holds the position of President of the Braunfels Foundation Trust and co-chairs the Merchant Committee for the Weihnachtsmarkt, a significant fundraiser for the Sophienburg Museum. Additionally, she is part of the steering committee for the 175th anniversary celebration of New Braunfels.

Her contributions to the community have been recognized with her induction into the New Braunfels Chamber of Commerce's Hall of Honor and the New Braunfels ISD's Silver Unicorn award for volunteerism. She has held leadership roles as Past President of the Sophienburg Museum and Archives, the Ferdinand Lindheimer Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas, the New Braunfels High School All Sports Booster Club, and the New Braunfels ISD Council of PTAs.
