His athletic talent earned him a baseball scholarship, leading him first to Redlands Community College in El Reno, Oklahoma, and later to the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, where he majored in Business. It was during his time at UCO that Thad was introduced to the field of real estate.

In 2004, he began his professional journey in real estate by joining a small brokerage under the mentorship of a respected college professor.
