Their career began at Rodeheaver Boys Ranch, where they served as a cottage parent, contributing to the development of young lives both at the ranch facility and in the local transition home. Additionally, they spent twelve years as a member of the ministry team at Tabernacle Baptist Church, now known as Life Church, further deepening their commitment to the community.

Outside of work, they cherish time spent with family, friends, and their dog, Sam.
