Timm Delaney's journey into real estate is deeply rooted in his upbringing in Lincoln, Nebraska, where he was immersed in the construction industry through his father's work as a builder. This early exposure provided him with a foundational understanding of the residential property market. Throughout high school, Timm enhanced his knowledge by taking courses focused on the intricacies of construction. After graduating, he applied his skills in various roles as a contractor and designer, helping to finance his college education.

His desire for a coastal lifestyle led him to Montecito in 1980, where he enrolled at Westmont College, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Business. During his time at Westmont, Timm continued to utilize his design and construction expertise on residential projects in the Montecito and Hope Ranch areas. This experience ultimately inspired him to transition from design to sales, focusing on the homes he had previously worked on.

In 1990, Timm launched his real estate career, leveraging his marketing acumen and hands-on construction experience. His dedication and commitment quickly propelled him to the forefront of the Santa Barbara real estate market. That same year, he received the Southern California Rookie of the Year Award and has since maintained a position within the top 1% of over 90,000 agents nationwide. Timm holds several prestigious designations, including Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI), and Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES). His accolades include membership in the Elite International Presidents Club and the Leading Edge Society, alongside numerous Outstanding Performance Awards.

For more than 35 years, Timm has called Santa Barbara home, actively engaging in community service with organizations such as the Muscular Dystrophy Association, the American Cancer Society, the Red Cross Disaster Relief Program, and the Santa Barbara Symphony. He is also involved in the business community as a member of the Santa Barbara Board of REALTORS, the Santa Barbara Chamber of Commerce, the Santa Barbara Multiple Listing Service, the California Association of REALTORS, and serves on the board of Young Professionals of Santa Barbara.

An avid adventurer, Timm embraces challenges both professionally and personally. His love for the outdoors, which initially drew him to California, is evident in his hobbies, including sailing, scuba diving, volleyball, camping, hiking, photography, wine tasting, and gardening. His adventurous spirit has led him to remarkable feats such as climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, hiking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, bungee jumping off the Zambezi Bridge, white-water rafting on the Zambezi River, and tandem skydiving in New Zealand.
