Tyler is a lifelong resident of Yakima, deeply invested in understanding the reasons others cherish this vibrant valley. He completed his high school education at West Valley High School in 2000 and earned a degree in Elementary Education and English from Whitworth University in 2004.

Together with his wife Jessica, Tyler is the proud father of four children, aged 9, 6, 6, and 4. His professional journey began as a school teacher in East Valley, where he taught for two years before transitioning into full-time ministry. For eleven years, he served at Grace of Christ Presbyterian Church (formerly First Presbyterian) as both a youth pastor and an associate pastor.

In recent years, Tyler has also excelled as a full-time tennis professional, continuing to offer lessons at the Yakima Tennis Club.
