About Wendy Wilbur

Wendy and Woody Wilbur bring a unique perspective to real estate, shaped by their diverse experiences living abroad. Originally, neither pursued a career in real estate; however, their international journeys instilled in them a deep appreciation for community, ultimately leading them to settle in April Sound, Texas.

Woody's career began in the Merchant Marine before transitioning to the oil industry, where he focused on environmental initiatives. His professional path took him to various countries, including Argentina, Scotland, Singapore, Brunei, and Puerto Rico. While they enjoyed their time overseas and the connections they made, the couple felt a strong pull to return to Texas. Wendy initially worked in Management Support for Houston ISD, while Woody served as the Director of Development for Allied Windows.

Seeking new challenges, Wendy founded Comp U Tech Corporation, a computer training school that thrived for a decade. However, following the events of September 11, they decided to explore a different career path, leading them to real estate. In July 1999, they relocated to April Sound and joined Keller Williams, later being recruited by Top Guns Realty, where they established their successful team.

As active members of the April Sound community, they are involved with the April Sound Church and participate in the Intercessory Prayer Ministry. Wendy is also a member of the ASLGA. Their commitment to service is evident in both their personal and professional lives, guided by their faith, which they express through the scripture: "He blesses the dwelling of the righteous" (Proverbs 3:33).

Wendy and Woody specialize in assisting retirees in downsizing, a service that includes home staging, managing estate sales, and finding suitable retirement accommodations, whether that means transitioning to a smaller home or assisted living. They stay informed about the housing market and provide comprehensive market analyses. Wendy views this work as a calling to serve, and both she and Woody take pride in helping families navigate the often challenging process of relocating loved ones and managing their belongings with compassion.
